Privacy Policy

Effective July 20, 2026 · We The People® — Document Preparation Services

This Privacy Policy explains how We The People ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use wethepeopleoffice.com (the "Site") or purchase our document preparation services. We are a California business serving California consumers, and this policy is designed to meet the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA ("CCPA").

1. Information We Collect

What the AI assistant does NOT collect: the "Ask AI" assistant on our homepage runs entirely in your browser using pre-written guidance. Your questions to it are not transmitted to us or anyone else — nothing you type there leaves your device unless you separately submit a contact form.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to: respond to your inquiries and route them to your selected office; process orders and payments; prepare documents at your direction and communicate about your services (including electronically, per your consent in our Terms); maintain business records required of a registered Legal Document Assistant; secure and improve the Site; and measure Site performance and advertising effectiveness through analytics.

3. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right-to-limit notice.

4. Who We Share Information With

5. Cookies & Analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-E9XMXEV0V8), which sets cookies/identifiers to help us understand Site usage and measure conversions such as purchases and form submissions. You can limit analytics via browser settings, blocking tools, or Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which is subject to Google's privacy terms. Essential browser storage (language preference, checkout session) is required for Site function and contains no personal profile.

6. Your California Privacy Rights

California residents have the right to: know/access the personal information we collect, use, and disclose; delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions; correct inaccurate personal information; and non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information, an opt-out right is not applicable — and for the same reason we are not required to respond to opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control, though your other rights requests are always honored.

To exercise your rights: call (855) 987-5342 or email info@wethepeopleoffice.com. We will verify your identity (matching information we have on file) and respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 45 days, extendable once). You may use an authorized agent with written permission and identity verification. Note that as a registered Legal Document Assistant we are subject to record-keeping obligations; some records cannot be deleted while retention requirements or our contract with you remain in effect — we will explain any such limits in our response.

7. Data Retention & Security

We retain personal information as long as needed to provide services, meet the record-keeping obligations of a registered LDA, resolve disputes, and comply with law — after which it is deleted or de-identified. We protect information with HTTPS encryption in transit, access restricted to personnel who need it, and payment handling delegated entirely to our PCI-compliant processor. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information with commercially reasonable measures.

8. Children

The Site and our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Do Not Track

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals; there is no common standard for them, and the Site does not respond to DNT signals. Your rights in Section 6 are unaffected.

10. Other Notices

The Site is operated from California, USA, and intended for California consumers. This policy is provided in English and Spanish; if translations differ, the version in the language principally used in your transaction controls to the extent required by law. California Civil Code §1798.83 ("Shine the Light"): we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

11. Changes & Contact

We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be posted on this page. Questions or requests: (855) 987-5342 · info@wethepeopleoffice.com · or any of our 8 Southern California offices. See also our Terms & Conditions.
